Equality experiences a sense of accomplishment and pride. Why was he excited about his creation? Why is the act of creation so monumental for Equality?
I think equality was excited with his creation because he had really figured soimething out and made something. Before he wanted to be in the Home of Scholars but he had never actually done what they had done but for the first time he had actually felt like they would feel when they would invent something new. The act of creating something was very monumental to Equality because they were taught from very little that pretty much in literal words they wouldnt amount to anything but their lifemandate and thye were also taught to act as a whole and never have any self confidence and he had done something alone And felt happy about it.
I think Equality was so excited about his creation because he created something for himself. He thinks that he can use this invention to get himself to the Home of the Scholars, even though he is a street sweeper. He felt that he will help make the world better for him and eeryone around him. The act of creation was so monumental for Equality because when he was younger, he was taught very little about the things around him. But when he created his invention, he felt good about it beause it was something that he taught for himself. No one did not tell him what to create of not, he just made something he used out of the information he found out of the novels.
I agree with marissas bacause Equality was very happy about his new invention because it was something that he created that he did not use the knowledge he learned in school. It helped him know that he can do anything and no one can tell him what to do.
i think equality is excited about his creation because he has done something no one has never done before he has takin a leap far greater than any of his fellow brothers and scholars. Especially since equality is different and he is starting to figure out that being alone isn't a sin hence he is taking pride in something he did alone wich is one step more he is taking to be different.
The reason why this act of creation is so monumental for him is probably because he is a street sweeper. In his mind based on the way he was brought up, is that the only good he will ever do is street sweep because that is what his brothers told him he would do but he has surpassed that and has become better.
"he created something for himself. He thinks that he can use this invention to get himself to the Home of the Scholars, even though he is a street sweeper. He felt that he will help make the world better for him and everyone around him."
I think Equality was excited about his creation because nobody had ever created anything like it before and he did it all by himself. He was the first to discover how to use light in a different and new way. He invented something new that others can use and he seemed excited to tell others about it.
The act of creation was so monumental for Equality because as a little child, he wasn't taught much and to discover something new on his own must have meant a lot to him. He felt good about his creation because he built it himself and nobody helped him or taught him how to. He now has more confidence in himself and he probably has the want to invent more.
Equality was excited about his creation because he was able to accomplish something that was important to him and it set him aside from everyone else.He was able to do something that was important to him.His creation was monumental because because from a young age he was told that he would do one specific thing in life.He wouldn't be able to have dreams because it would make him "different".He was basically trained to be a robot but he was able to overcome it by being able to think for himself.
I agree with Eddy when he says that he learning that being alone is not a bad thing. Also, he was able to create something in the field of studies that he likes when he is alone.
I agree with Alexis when she says that he created something that others can use. The only thing is that this creation sets him apart from all of his brothers.
The only reason Equality feels this pride is because for once in his life he did something for himself. He wasn't thinking about his fellow brothers when he was in the tunnel doing all his inventions. He was only thinking about the thing his hands were creating.
I could only wonder why this was so monumental for Equality. Even in our world today when we accomplish something we have worked so hard to do, we feel proud of ourselves. Imagine what it must have fet like for Equality when all of his life it has always been about what everyone wants to do, not what he wants to do. His creation was the first look at who he was and he liked seeing that side of him.
I agree with chelsea beacause she says he thinks that he can make it to the home of the scholars with this invention .its good hes thinking in a real way not in a cheating way he worked his way to get there.
I think that Equality was excited about his creation because he had descovered soemthing new, somehting that his brothers have never seen before. He was amazed at how he was able to make light. He loves experimenting and he is very curious to know things, and he knew that his creation could change the way his brothers lived and could brighten their days. The act of creation is so monumental to him because he feels a pride in knowing that he was able to acomplish something that no one in the world would ever be able to do. He was sure that his brothers would approve of his creation, and that made him even more happy.
I agree with Alexis on the fact that as a child, Equality wasnt taught much, and being able to create something like this on his own ment a lot to him.
I agree with Alyse when she says that, "from a young age he was told that he would do one specific thing in life.He wouldn't be able to have dreams because it would make him "different." That is a very good point and now I see how it was very monumental for him to create light.
I agree with alexisv because Equality was so happy to create the lightbulb because he is told not to do things by himself. But since he did it by himself, he felt a great movement in his life.
I also agree with alysem because he was told to be a sweep sweeper for the rest of his life. His invention of the lightbulb made him become different because he created something instead of doing his job.
My Personal Opinon is that Equality feels a sense of pride and accomplishment with his creation. He gets this feeling because he is set apart from the others. He feels this because he created it alone.
Equality was excited for his creation. He was because in the Home of the Students, Equality always wanted to learn more. Know he was given the opprotunity to do this.
i disagree with Marissa when she says that he was only down their to make it into the Home of the Scholars. If he thought he were blinded then why would he want to be amoung them if he had a greater knowledge.
I believe that equality is excited about the creation because he feels that he is smarter than the Home of th Scholars. He discovered that using certian wires and glass particles, you can make light. He discovered this and he knew that the Scholars wouldn't dare to create something like this for another hundred years. This is monumental for him because not only does he create something useful, he feels enough pride to go show the council what vhe has created. He thought that the council would be open to the idea and enbrase it as a wonderful invention. We learned eventually the he was wrong and in reality, they were scared of it.
i agree with eddie because the thought of Equality being a street sweeper and able to have a mentallity greater than the ones of the Scholars is very monumental to him.
i agree with stacey because in the home of the students, they taught everyone the same material yet several years later, he was able to create something he would of never learned to make at the house of the ctudents.
Equality was extremely excited about his new creation. He definitely had reason to. He not only was wise enough to figure electricity out but also brave enough. He was brave enough to sneak out of the meetings which brothers dared not to miss. He took many chances and made many transgressions but he never regretted it because it was his wish.
The creation itself was also monumental. It meant he was more than the nothingness he taught he was. He was indeed much more than his brothers with thoughts, feelings, and much more intellect.
Eddie's comment was very true. He is very different from his brothers but it is not shameful because he is doing what pleases him.
Elizabeth, i disagree because I don't think Equality was ever truly concerned with his brothers. He preferred some over others, but as a whole I don't think he put as much effort into the rules with brotherhood.
Equality was extremely excited about his new invention. He was excited because he had discovered a new source of light, something that would not only benefit himself and his personal experiments but the the entire population of the world. Nothing like this had ever been invented before. He had taken a leap in science and knowledge that no one had ever even dreamed about. This act of creation was extremely monumental for Equality. First, he thought he would redeem himself to his brothers because of the greatness of the gift he was going to offer them. Second, like I said before, nothing like this had ever existed or had been thought about. And lastly, he felt like he had helped the entire world with his invention.
I think it's pretty obvious that Equality is excited about his creation because he created it himself, with his knowledge, not that of his brother's. I think he has a sense of pride for it becuase he knows that what he did was considered a transgression, but his pride came from the fact he contradicts this fact. He takes pride in knowing that his transgression, which is supposed to be bad turns out to be something he considers good. This act of creation is monumental to him because it is the beginning of the many creations he will seek to create. This is because once he he has been bitten by the bug that is curiousity, there is no ignoring it. His creation was a step in his path that will continue to have more ideas of other creations and of the transgressions he considers good that he has to committ. Over all, Equality's pride and excitement from his creation comes from not only his satisfied need to be different, but from the knowledge that he knows he's different.
i agree with stacey disagreeing with marissa. Why would he create his invention if he only wanted to be in the Home of the Scholars? He said they were blinded. I think he created this for a greater good, not just that for himself.
i agree with alexis on why she thinks it is monumental for Equality. Like she said, as a child they were'nt taught to discover things on their own and Equality's creation goes beyond that lesson. To me, this is one of the reasons it was monumental to him because it was a new oppertunity, one that even as a child he was not taught to deal with.
I agree with alyse. She says that Equality feels it to be monumental because he was told he was to be a Street Sweeper all of his life, no exceptions and to create what he did, goes beyond all that. It's monumental in the sense that he defied what is supposed to happen, he made things turn in his favor. With this ability, there could be a chance that he will make known this knowledge to his brothers and that they will accept it.
I think that Equality was excited and proud of his creation because of the fact that he had done it on his own. He was happy that he was smarter than he had imagined. He was doing what he wanted to do which was to create and to learn. He wanted to be in the Home of the Scholars but even though he couldn't, he was able to do what he wanted to do. This invention was monumental for Equality because he was proud. He realized that he had created something that would help mankind. It was something new and that could improve the lives of his brothers and sisters. He was proud of his invention and of the power and other things it could lead to. He now had self-confidence and was proud of what he made with his own hands and mind and that he made it with his heart and invented it himself on his own. He thought it would allow him to join the House of Scholars if he presented it to them.
"i think equality is excited about his creation because he has done something no one has never done before he has takin a leap far greater than any of his fellow brothers and scholars."
I believe Equality is proud of himself for figuring it out on his own and doing something never done before. That he himself accomplished something that his brothers and sisters havent. He now feels more self confident. This is why I agree with Eddie.
Equality was excited about his creation because he finally discovered something on his own. He realized that not all things created by one person is evil. He knew that this new invention could change the lives of all men on Earth. This discovery is monumental for Equality. This is becuase he now knew that his destiny was not to be a street sweeper. He could do whatever he wanted to and no one could stop him. This lead him into the Uncharted Forest, where he could freely live his life as he pleases.
I agree with marissa in that Equality was always taught that he would never amount to anything. Now he has discovered something years ahead of his time and he should have more self confidence in himself.
"The act of creation was so monumental for Equality because as a little child, he wasn't taught much and to discover something new on his own must have meant a lot to him. He felt good about his creation because he built it himself and nobody helped him or taught him how to."
I believe along with Alexis that when you aren't taught much, discovering something new on your own is a great accomplishment. He didn't learn much so he did it on his own without his teachers knowledge. He learned more on his own than he did in school. Equality is proud that no one taught him how to build this invention or that no one forced him to do it. This is why I agree with Alexis.
I agree with alyse because he was always taought from a young age that he would never be anything but one specific thing. Now he sees that he doesn't have to be a street sweeper forever. Other things are possible. Anything is possible.
"He realized that not all things created by one person is evil. He knew that this new invention could change the lives of all men on Earth."
I believe that Equality realized that this new invention was not evil. It wouldn't harm the human kind, but instead help them. This new power could be used to light a city so it would help them live a simpler life without having to make candles. Also, after realizing that one person's invention isn't evil, he started to wonder what was right and what was wrong. This caused him to be sort of confused. This is why I agree with Gabriel.
I agree with stacey because Equality always did want to learn more in the home of the students. Now that he has been given the oppertunity to do so he has been able to discover new inventions, even though it's by himself.
I agree with Elizabeth when she says that Equality feels this pride because for one in his life he has done something for himself. For the first time ever he didn't have to rely on anyone to help him make his invention.I am pretty sure that after this invention he feels he can make many more.
I agree and disagree with Chelsea. I agree that he was excited for creating this new invention but I don't think he created it just to get into the Home of the Scholars. I think he did it because he likes science and he likes to discover new things and ways of doing things.
I agree with Alyse because I do feel that he was able to accomplish something that nobody else was capable of doing or they just didn't feel like trying. I do agree that it definately set him aside from others because nobody else was willing to take the risk to work by themselves to create an invention that could come useful for their fellow brothers.
I agree with Melissa A when she said that Equality was amazed that he discovered a new way to produce light. He probably felt, at that moment, very proud of himself for creating this new source of light.
I disagree when Chelsea says that Equality only invented electricity to get into the Home of the Scholars. When Equality he wasn't thinking about all those things. He was just interested and wanted to do what he couldn't do as a Street Sweeper.
I agree and disagree with Melisaa. Yes, Equality was very excited to be able to invent something but not until later did he actually think about his brothers and sisters. He was so excited at first but when he stopped to think did he realize what his invention would do for his brothers.
I agree with Alexis when she says that his invention was very monumental for him, especially growing up not knowing anything. I could just imagine how happy he felt when he made something and learned something all on his own which he had always been taught that it was forbidden.
i agree with melissa a when she because of equlaity's passion for learning new things caused him to discover something that his brothers would of never discovered light/
I think Equality is excited about his creation because he is doing what he loves, which is learning. He also discovered something that no one else knows. He learned that he can power a whole city with that light bulb. He made something important with his own hands. He was excited because he was ready to be moved to the Home of the Scholars and he thought this discovery would most definitely make the transfer.
The act of creation was so monumental for him because he is defying the laws. 2 transgressions, working alone and documenting. He was happy because after he was caught, he didn't tell the secret. He was imprisoned and later chased out of the city, but he stayed true to his creation. He got to do something alone as 1 person, not like the entire mankind.
I agree with Marissa that he knew how the Scholars felt when they invented something. I also agree that they were told they would amount to nothing but their life mandate. They all had to act as a whole.
I agree with Alyse because she said that they were told they would only do 1 specific thing in life. It set him apart from everyone else and that is what he felt his whole life.
I think Equality was excited about his creation, because all his life he wished to be different. He always wanted to learn, experiment, live a life of individuality, and success. Through his creation, he has accomplished all of those things. He has found joy through his hard work, and has spent a lot of time on experimenting and observing the unknown. He found comfort in his creation knowing that this is something that would revoolutionize the world. He knew he could use his unique mind and creative talent for the better of mankind. The act of creation is so monumental for Equality because he is commiting a great transgression. Not only is he thinking with creativity and individuality, but he is rebelling against the lifemandate assigned to him by the Council.Equality has always been very different from everyone else in his community. No matter what, Equality strives to be different, and lives the life he wishes to live. After hard work and determination, he created something unimaginable. He created electricity. Creation is so monumental for Equality because the only thing he wishes to do in life, is express his individuality through learning and experimenting.
I agree and disagree with Stacy. I think that even before going to the Home of the Students, Equality has always been different from other people. He has always had a thirst for knowledge and a feel for adventure. His individuality and character is uncomparable with anyone from his community. He is truly a character of person, and will do whatever it takes to learn and create.
I agree with Eddie because it is truly amazing how Equality, even though was a street sweeper, decided to break the law just so he could do what he loves, experimenting. Equality has been told that his lifemandate is being a street sweeper, but he believes that his true calling in life is inventing things. He wishes to invent, learn, and discover no matter what the consequences may entail.
I disagree with Chelsea, because Equality was taught everything he was supposed to know when he was a child. He was not challenged in the Home of the Students. He knew that he needed to explore his mind, learn, experiment, observe, and discover everything that life has to teach. He wanted to experiment, learn all that had not been taught to him, and discover what was not known.
1. I agree with chelsea that Equality was excited about his creation because he had made it himself. He had never developed anything like it and was proud of himself.
2.I agree with Elizabeth when she says that he wasn't creating this invention for anyone but himself. He didnt even think about his brothers until he finished creating it.
3.I agree with marissa in the fact that he invented something even though he wasn't taught how to do so and was even brought down. It took a lot of courage to develop his creation.
I think Equality is so excited about his creation because he isn’t used to creating things. This is a great accomplishment for him. Another reason I think he is excited is that he did it alone and is very proud of himself. One more reason I think Equality is excited is because he still thinks how he was raised and is happy to be able to give a great gift to his brothers and to the world. My last reason for why I think he is excited is that he thinks that they will let him be in the Home of the Scholars now. The act of creation was so monumental for him because after all of his work, day after day, he finally accomplished this. He discovered it’s power alone, without anyone, and, again, he is proud. All his life the leaders and teachers told him that he is nothing. They were all supposed to be humble and not do anything for themselves. They told him he was going to be a Street Sweeper and not do anything else in life, and he was expecting this so when he got to do what he loved and made his glass box he was really happy.
Responses I agree with Eddie that he is excited because no one has done what he has before and that he is proud that he created it on his own.
I also agree with Melissa that one of the reasons that he was excited was because he was amazed at the light and also because he could make life better for his brothers. I also agree that he was happy because he thought his brothers would really like his creation.
I also agree with Christine when she said that the creation was monumental because it was the beginning of many more creations. Surely Equality was looking forward to that. And I also agree that he has pride in himself because he now knows that he is different, better even, than the rest.
I think equality was excited with his creation because he had made something new. At first he believed he had to prove himself by going to the home of the scholars. But in the end he was just trying to prove himself. The act of creation was monumental for equality because he had excelled his own expectations. He had made it all on his own with no help. He also had excelled his dreams.
I agree with marissas comment because when you create something you have a sense of pride. Also how she commented on how equality went agaisnt all odds to achieve his dreams

I agree with eddie when he says:
I agree with Alexis when she said:
I agree with Gabriel when he said:

I could just imagine how happy he felt when he made something and learned something all on his own which he had always been taught that it was forbidden.
i agree with Alyse when she says:
"Equality was excited about his creation because he was able to accomplish something that was important to him"
i also agree with Mellisa when she says:
"I think that Equality was excited about his creation because he had descovered soemthing new, somehting that his brothers have never seen before."
i agree with melissa a when she because of equlaity's passion for learning new things caused him to discover something that his brothers would of never discovered light/
I agree with Melissa because she said that he was proud and that he created something for mankind.
He wanted to experiment, learn all that had not been taught to him, and discover what was not known.
responses:

I agree with Eddie that he is excited because no one has done what he has before and that he is proud that he created it on his own.
Also how she commented on how equality went agaisnt all odds to achieve his dreams
i agree with chealseal because it is true equality created something for himself. and what she said how equality overcame his set backs.
I agree with eddie because equality had discovered and invented a new object. i disagree with his second point though.
